Warren B. ‘Hawk’ Morrison, age 73, of Ashland, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014, at the Memorial Medical Center, in Ashland.
Hawk was born on August 7, 1940, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Bernard and Marjorie (Crandall) Morrison. Hawk was a jack of all trades and an assistant manager of the Holiday gas station, in Ashland. He served his country proudly, in the U.S. Army, and was a lover of music, having his own portable Karaoke service.
Survivors include: his son, Rodd (Kelly) Pierson, of Elk River, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Brandon, Bradley, and Brielle; his foster parents: Ella and Herman Clausen, of Crystal, Minnesota; his brother, Rodney (Mary) Romer, of Nevis, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Morrison.
A celebration of Hawk’s life will begin 1 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2014, at the American Legion Hall, in Ashland. A time of remembrance will begin at 2 p.m., followed by military honors by the United Chequamegon Area Veterans.
Interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, Wisconsin, will be private.
