William A. Grage, age 84, of Mellen, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the Mellen Manor, in Mellen, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on February 15, 1929, in Highbridge, Wisconsin, the son of William C. and Lillie (Kleinsteiber) Grage. He and Etelka H. McKay were united in marriage, in Mellen, on June 10, 1961. Bill was a millwright in the lumber industry for many years. He enjoyed: fishing, snowmobiling, tractors, watching westerns, his grandchildren and visiting with family and friends, especially Mailman Joe.
Survivors include: Etelka, his wife of 52 years, of Mellen; his sons: John (Cindi), Pete, and Dan (Cyndi), all of Glidden, Wisconsin; his daughters: Theresa (Alan) Conley, of Mellen; Diana (Fred) Beil, of Glidden; and Linda (Humper) Hill, of Glidden;
Bill is also survived by: his grandchildren: Mary Jane (Jeremy Patterson) Grage, Paul (Casey Schutte) Conley, Bradley (Alexandra) Grage, Tim (Alexandra Peacock) Rein, Brandon (Danielle Spacek) Conley, Krystina (Vallis Fisher) Conley, Brian Hill, William Hill and Danny Grage; and great-grandchildren: Alivia Elza, Trinity Conley, Xander Ford Conley and Kyle Grage.
Other survivors include: his brother: Roy (Sau) of Highbridge; sisters: Louise (Robert) Schraufnagel, of Marengo, Wisconsin; Alice (Toby) Tobisch, of Highbridge; Margaret Rebella and Doris Grage of Mellen; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his brothers: Paul and Robert; and one sister, Lillian.
A gathering, for family and friends, will be held at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Mellen, beginning at 10 a.m.,Saturday, January 25, 2014,and continuing until the hour of service.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial, for Bill, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Mellen. Father Shanthi Reddy Mandapati will be the Celebrant.
Spring interment will take place in the Cayuga Cemetery, Cayuga, Wisconsin.
