Larry Carl Crawford

Larry Crawford, Age 74, of Imlay City, Michigan, passed away suddenly Thursday, January 16, 20 at his home. Larry Carl Crawford was born May 24, 1939 in Lum, Michigan. He lived his entire life in Imlay City. Larry was a graduate of Imlay City High School with the Class of 1957. Larry joined the U.S. Navy in 1957 and was trained as a Hospital Corpsman. He was attached to the Fleet Marines as a part of the First Marine Brigade. He was married to Barbara Helen Vermeesch on April 19, 1963 in Lapeer, Michigan. Larry worked for a couple of years in the early 1960’s for Michigan Milk Producers Association. He has worked for 35 years as a Dairy Farmer on the family farm in Lum. He was a Charter Member of the Imlay City Eagles & was the Eagles Past Chaplin. Surviving are his wife: Barbara Crawford of Lum; his daughter: Renee (& John) Altz of Dryden; sister-in-law: Mary Anne Vermeesch of Yale and Sue Vermeesch of Yale; brothers-in-law: David (Peggy) Vermeesch of Charlevoix Michigan, John (Janet) Vermeesch of Yale, Carl (MaryLee) Vermeesch of Yale, and Bill (Dawn) Vermeesch of Pittsburgh PA; aunts & uncles: Mabel & Artwood Thompson; cousins: Mark, Dale and Diane Thompson; numerous nieces and nephews; special family friends: Geri & Brad Garcia and family of Tustin California, John & Patty Bartkowiak and family of Imlay City, and Dean Campbell of Imlay City. Larry is preceded in death by his parents: John and Anna Crawford; and by brothers-in-law: Donald Vermeesch and Dennis Vermeesch.
