Margaret “Maggie” Alice Jessup, 96 of Centralia passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at Centralia Manor in Centralia. Maggie was born September 28, 1917 in Xenia, daughter of Ralph W. Jessup and Esta M. (Harrison) Jessup. She is survived by four nephews and seven nieces: Brenda White of Centralia, Peggy Beal of Richview, Pat Spilios and husband George of Florida, Joe Jessup and wife Pam of Centralia, Scott Jessup of Centralia, John Jessup of Centralia, Connie Sause of Centralia, Michael Farmer of Fairfield, Becky Farmer and companion Terry Petrea of Fairfield, Jenny Thompson and husband Carl of Fairfield, and Angie Farmer of Fairfield; several great-nieces and nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Robert Jessup and Paul Jessup, two sisters: Frances Myers and Helen Farmer and a nephew, David Myers. Maggie was born and raised in Xenia, where she attended and graduated grade school and high school. She then moved to Centralia and attended Browns Business College. She worked for McBride / KWB Oil Company for more than 40 years. She was a 70 year member of the Order of The Eastern Star Centralia #353, 60 year member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Centralia, Forty and Eight, American Legion Auxiliary Post #446, VFW Auxiliary Post 2055, Republican Club & Precinct Committeeman for many years and an original Pink Lady at St Mary's Hospital and she was active until retirement. Following cremation, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Heritage Woods Activity Fund, or St. Mary’s Hospital for a picture in her memory.
