Loren Robert Galino (Bob) passed away on January 2, 2014. Bob was born in Sutter Creek to Joseph and Palmera Galino on February 8, 1926. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Galino; son, Bobby Galino; sisters, Velma Bryson and Lena Malatesta. Bob grew up in Sutter Creek and attended Amador High School and then Sacramento City College. He was an outstanding athlete in high school and junior college. After college he worked for Vukovich Distributing, American Forrest Products and Preston School where he served as a correctional officer. Bob then met and married Maxine Vernon in 1961; they lived in Sutter Creek until the mid-1970’s when they moved to Camanche North Shore. Bob was an active member of the Italian Benevolent Society and a member of the Jackson Elks Club for many years. Bob is survived by daughters, Debbie Hunt and husband, Tom, Connie Kuppenbender and husband, Mike. He has nine grandchildren, Mike Clark and his wife, Michelle, Jeff Clark and his wife, Angie, Christa Peterson, Todd and Jenny Hunt, Karen and Scott Kuppenbender, Megan and Anthony Galino. Additionally, he has four great grandchildren, Connor and Caden Clark, Reese and Rylee Clark. Bob is also survived by his nephew, Kirk Bryson and niece, Marcia Malatesta. Bob had many friends and was very well liked throughout the Amador County community. Friends and family are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial that will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Center on January 16, 2014, 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
