Shirley Calloway

Minister Shirley Calloway, 58, Morganfield, KY departed this life at 5:45 AM Thursday 1/2/2014 at her sister's home in Evansville, IN. She was employed at the Higgins Learning Center and Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center until her health declined.

Minister Calloway was a 24 year member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church in Morganfield, where she was a faithful Associate Pastor and served as a missionary, traveling to Haiti on several occasions. She was an active member of the Kentucky Annual Conference, Union district Conference and a member of the Free Will Baptist Conference. Minister Calloway was ordained in the ministry March 21, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Henry and Loretta Brimm Henry.


Husband of 32 years, Harold Calloway of Morganfield

2 daughters Tamika (Robert) Calloway of Evansville Tywana (William ) Calloway of Henderson, KY

3 step children Janita Calloway of Tulsa, OK Dana (Michelle) Calloway of Evansville, IN Chanda (Nick) Lee of Henderson, KY

5 sisters Kathy Lindsey of Evansville, IN Lisa (Wayne) Akons of Kansas City, MO Francean (Ray) Clardy of Evansville, IN Pam (Claidy) Tinsley Goines of Evansville, IN Sandy Brimm of Evansville, IN

3 brothers Keith (Elizabeth) Brimm of Evansville, IN Robert (Joy) Brimm of Kansas City, MO James (Christine) Brimm of Evansville, IN

4 aunts Louise Green of Providence, KY Shirley Allen, Odessa Winfield and Marjorie Starks all of Evansville, IN

1 uncle Leon (Robin) Starks of St. Louis, MO.

21 Grandchildren 8 great grandchildren several nieces, nephews and cousins

Funeral will be 1 PM Sat 1/11/14 at Carrs Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Morganfield with Rev. James R. Cole and Bishop Paul Wilkerson officiating. Visitation will be 10 AM until service time Saturday at the church.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.
