Mary Ann Banks Gilliard

Home Going Services for Mrs. Mary Ann Banks Gilliard will be held, Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 1:00 pm, at the Miracle Faith Temple United Church of God, 1779 Branchdale Highway, Holly Hill, South Carolina.  Evangelist Elois Kelly, Pastor, will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Viewing will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm.

Mrs. Mary Ann Banks Gilliard, daughter  of the late Miss Annie Lee Banks and Mr. Sammie Lee Warren, was born on September 26, 1954 in Holly Hill, South Carolina, and departed this life on Monday, December 30, 2013, at her residence in Holly Hill, South Carolina.

Mary Ann grew up in Holly Hill, where she attended the public schools of the area.  She graduated from Holly Hill High School in 1973.  Later in life, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She was employed by All-Care Home Health.

She was a strong supportive member of Miracle Faith Temple United Church of God.

 She was married to Mr. Jervie Gilliard, Jr.

 Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to celebrate her life and rejoice in her memories: three daughters; Mrs. Tiffany (Jamie) Arledge, April D. Stephens, of Holly Hill, SC Sara T. Gilliard, of the home; two sons, Jervie (Mary) Gilliard, of Houston, TX, Joseph J. Gilliard, of the home; one sister, Irish Mae (Morris) Johnson, of Florence, SC; one brother, Mr. Robert Banks, of Louisiana; and adopted granddaughter, Anastasha Ashton, twelve additional grandchildren; a very special cousin who was like a sister, Helen McMillian, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 Friends may call at the residence, 1265 Edward Street, Holly Hill, South Carolina and at the funeral home.
