Layne Jess Balzly

Born November 30th 1975 Passed away December 28th 2013 at age 38. Beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Mate, Family and Friend. Layne went to school in Green River at Harrison Elementary, Lincoln middle school and Graduated from Green River High School in 1994. He served in the US Navy from 1994 - 1998 on Guantanamo bay and aboard the USS Gunston Hall. He maintained a job mostly in the mining industry in Colorado and Wyoming. Most recently until the time of his death he worked for FMC Corporation west of Green River. Layne had a heart of Gold and would eagerly change his own plans to help anyone in need of his time. He loved to see other people happy and loved to dance, sing, work and spend time in the outdoors. Layne made friends everywhere he went and will be sorely missed. Like many it this world Layne couldn't see his enormous value to all that loved him. He is gone from us much to early in life. He leaves behind a son Christian Balzly of green River, Girlfriend Nikki Strange of Green River, Parents Kay and Ed Balzly of Green River, Brother Dallas Balzly of Layton UT, Sisters Adrian Balzly of Green River and Rachel Todd of Green River. Stepsons- Jeremy Boldt us Army, Michael and Nicholas Boldt of Rock Springs. Grand parents- Myrtis McCormack of Tucson AZ, M Layne Balzly of Green River and Charlie & Alameda Nixon also of Green River. Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends scattered around Wyoming, Utah, Colorado and points around the globe. Cremation will take place and memorial services will be conducted at. 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Vase Flaming Gorge Chapel, 263 East Flaming Gorge Way, Green River, Wyoming. Military Honors and Inrnment will be in the Riverview Cemetery in the Columbarium.
