Celebration of life for retired Army MSG Gail N. Finks will be held at Heritage Funeral in Harker Heights, TX at 12:30pm on Dec 27, 2013.
Gail N. Finks passed away on Dec 18, 2013 in Killeen, TX. He was known by family and friends as Jim.
His Army career spanned 27 years including two tours in Vietnam. While serving in Vietnam, he received the Bronze Star w/ 2nd Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal w/ 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Army of Occupation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 1st Silver Service Star and Bronze Service Star, and Army Commendation Medal w/ 3rd Oak Leaf Cluster. After his retirement, he continued his service to this country in the civil service from which he also retired. He served honorably in the 101st Airborne, 2nd Armored Division, 3rd Armor Division and 1st Cavalry. He was an active member of the VFW. He dedicated his life to his family and country.
He was married to Toni Finks (deceased 2011) and is survived by his two daughters Aera Oh and Eda Finks; Son Harry Finks; Grandsons, Allen, Bradley and Connor Oh; Sister Anita Kittridge.
Friends are invited to celebrate his life on Dec 26 from 5:00-7:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights, TX.
