Frank Albert Daniel, age 84 of Tecumseh passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in Tecumseh. He was born December 28, 1928 in Idabel, Ok to Nancy I. (Mize) and Paul A. Daniel.
Frank served 5 and ½ years in the U.S. Army, including 2 stints in Korea and was awarded a medal for action under fire.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and horseback riding. Frank made several of the 89er trail rides in Central Oklahoma. He especially enjoyed meeting people and going on trail rides.
Frank was an active member of the Golden Age Center in Tecumseh. He had many friends there and was elected Frontiersman in 2007 representing the Golden Age Center. Frank was a bricklayer by trade and bricked many homes in and around the Shawnee and Chandler area.
He had a little dog, “Precious” who recently succumbed to old age. Frank said he was a lifesaver after the death of his wife, Charlene, in 2002.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and 3 brothers, Elbert, James and Donald.
Frank is survived by 2 sons and one daughter-in-law, James, of the home and Frankie and wife, of Stonewall; 1 sister, Carol Abbott and friend, Johnny; 2 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 5 great grandsons; 1 great granddaughter; and many other family and friends.
No services are planned.
