Charles W. “Bud” Bizila, age 71 of Elwood, died Monday, December 16, 2013 surrounded by his family at A.M.G. Specialty Hospital in Muncie after an extended illness. He was born May 14, 1942 in Clariton, PA, the son of Charles W. and Anna Mae (Husock) Bizila. He retired from Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo in 1998 where he had worked for more than 25 years in production. Bud was a 1960 graduate of Clariton High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Bay of Pigs conflict. Bud married Brenda S. Gotee on June 21, 1975. He was an avid sports fan and especially liked Indiana University Basketball and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bud enjoyed traveling with his wife, and loved spending time playing with his nieces and nephews.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come with Me”. With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Bud’s family includes his wife of 38 years, Brenda S. Bizila of Elwood; son, Charles W. Bizila, III; 2 brothers, James Bizila of Clariton, PA and William (Maureen) Bizila of Clariton, PA; 2 sisters-in-law, Kathy (Mike) Wilburn of Fishers and Candy (Tim) Goens of Elwood; nieces and nephews, Larken (Todd) Uhrick, Crystal Goens (fiancé Matt Lawson), Tonya (John) Schroeder, Brittany Bizila, and Kerry Bizila; 2 great-nephews, Colton Bogard and Dillon Bogard; and 3 great-nieces, Katlyn Uhrick, Brittney (Brandon) Lanning and their son, Braden, and Kaleigh (Ryan) Gilfillan and their son, Liem.
