Cash R "Bart" Bartimus, 95 of Denver, born January 13, 1918 to Harry Matthew Bartimus and Mary Eva Daly in Pollock, Missouri died December 10, 2013 at Emeritus at Roslyn in Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Virginia earlier this year, his parents, three brothers, three sisters; Jerri Dorr; grandson Mike Doty; great grandson Adonis Jones

Bart is survived by his sister Pauline Strong and many others who loved and cared for him, including Ron Doty and family, Linda Widman and family, Virginia's daughters, Pam Gorski, Patty Kent, Paula Molick, their husbands, children and grandchildren.

Bart served as a US Merchant Marine during World War II and spent many years in the construction business in Denver and Grand Junction, Colorado. he loved the outdoors, watching wildlife and was an avid gardener. Always, Bart enjoyed a Manhattan at toddy time!

Bart's ashes will be placed next to Virginia's at the Arvada Cemetery. A memorial will be held at a later date yet to be determined in Grand Junction, Colorado for both Bart and Virginia.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Emeritus at Roslyn for the care Bart and Virginia received. Memorial donations may be sent in their name to Resident Family Council at Roslyn, Emeritus at Roslyn, 2500 South Roslyn Street, Denver, Colorado 80231 or to a charity of your choice.
