George K. Fuller

U.S. Veteran

George K. Fuller, passed away Sunday December 15, 2013 at his home at Canyon Lake. He was born May 2, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas to George Franklin Fuller and Carrie Bell (Johnston) Fuller. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. George and his wife Thelma were married August 28, 1965. He was a member of Canyon Lake United Methodist Church and also the V.F.W., the Masonic Lodge and the Alzafar Shrine.

Survivors include his wife Thelma of Canyon Lake; children, Mike and Kathy Fuller of Canyon Lake, Greg and Kelly Fuller of Live Oak, Texas, Rick and Linda Fuller of LaVernia, Texas, Linda Gibson of Dayton, Ohio, Shirley and Buddy Nelson of Schertz, Texas, Judy and Richard DeLong of Garden Ridge, Texas, and Johnny and Rita Tumlinson of Spring, Texas; 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great- great grandchildren; and numerous other extended family members. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Sammy Tumlinson.

Viewing will begin at noon Wednesday December 18, 2013 and continue until service time at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, 1071 FM 2673, Canyon Lake, Texas. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Andrew K. Tyson of Canyon Lake United Methodist Church officiating.

There will be a reception following the funeral service on Wednesday around 3:00 PM at the Canyon Lake United Methodist Church.

On Thursday December 19th everyone will meet again at 8:30 AM at the Funeral home for a procession to depart at 8:45 AM to arrive at 10:00 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Memorial donations may be given to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
