Orlando Owens, 54, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 in Memphis, Tenn.
Orlando was born December 10, 1958 in Caruthersville, Missouri to the late Ruby (Stapleton) Owens and Ed Owens.
Orlando was a 1977 graduate of Caruthersville High School and a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by one son, Orlando Jr, and four daughters, Monique, Whitney, Michele and Ruby. Five brothers, Steve (Jan) Owens,Glen Owens, Don Dudley, Anthony (Bobbie) Woods, and Michael Owens. One sister, Cynthia Diane. Four aunts, Barbara Lewis, Peggye Jackson, Mary Jo (Stapleton) Coleman and Phyllis Stapleton. Other survivors include many cousins, especially Virginia Robinson, Melinda Robinson and Emma Campbell, neices, nephews and other relatives. His friends included Ralph Sides who defined unconditional friendship towards Orlando..
In addition to his parents, he was precededed in death by a sister, Loretta Faye.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 from 5-7 pm at the Mt. Carmel MB Church, 14 th & Vest Ave., Caruthersville, Mo. Services will be held on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Pastor Johnny Hood, of the St. James Word Outreach Fellowship, Hayti, Missouri, will officiate.
Burial, with full Military Honors, will follow at the Morgan Ridge Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo.
