Leon Houston, 61, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at his home.

He was born February 15, 1952 to Lonnie Max Houston in Raleigh, South Carolina.

Leon was raised by Lee and Sylvia Mildred Price in the Stillwater area. He attended Hoxie High School in Kansas and graduated in 1970.

He married Diana Long on October 12, 2002 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

During his career he worked in the auto parts industry before going to work for Stewart Wholesale as a parts salesman for many years.

Leon attended church at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Tecumseh. He loved his church family and spending time with all the members.

He loved his pets, telling jokes and making people laugh. Leon loved stock-car racing in his early years but quit after marriage. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Leon was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Houston.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diana Houston, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, James and Margie Alldredge, of Tecumseh; mother, Sylvia Price, of Tecumseh; sister-in-law, Pamela Thompson, of Tecumseh; mother-in-law, Vera Long, of Shawnee; brother-in-law, Terry and wife, Beth Long, Afton, OK; 4 grandchildren, Cori Alldredge, Cody Alldredge, Sawyer Alldredge and Thomas Alldredge and their mother, Meagan Alldredge, all of Shawnee; and several aunts in Stillwater; and other extended family and friends.

Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Calvary Missionary Baptist in Tecumseh with Pastor Mack Peercy officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
