Jack spent most of his life doing what he loved, being a Funeral Director. In 1971 Jack packed up his wife and two kids in a little VW and headed to Hollywood, CA with nothing more than a few suitcases to persue his career in Collage and get his Funeral Director and Embalming license. He worked at a few privately owned mortuaries until he was able to buy his own. In 1977 he purchased his own mortuary and operated it until his heart drew him back to Globe. In 1980 he bought Under the Palms, but his passion for funeral directing led him to give up the business and go back to working at what he loved. So he began working at Miles-Damron Funeral Home until he retired late into his years. For a short period of time he worked worked security for Freeport and had to retire due to health issues. Jack’s hobbies were fishing, hanging out with friends and family. Enjoyed telling a joke or two. His passion was his family and his great grandbabies who he was extremely proud of.
