MIchael Adams

Michael P. Adams, 77, of Hazleton passed away Thursday at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center.

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Mudrick) Adams.

Michael worked for the General Tire Co. and then McCarthy Tire, where he was an on-the-road salesman and manager.

He served in the Army.

He was a member and past president of the Kiwanis Club and was very active within the Hazleton Little League for many years. Michael volunteered at many local service organizations, was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan and attended his children's and grandchildren's athletic events. He was also an accomplished trumpet player and collected HO-gauge trains and model cars.

Michael was a member of Most Precious Blood Church.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, was his sister, Mary Berman of Jersey City, N.J.

Surviving are his wife, the former Rosalie Marino; a son, Richard and wife, Joey Lynn, Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Mary Lynn Digiandomenico and husband, James, Hazle Township; and two grandchildren, Jack Michael Adams and Christy Digiandomenico.

The funeral will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. from Fierro Funeral Home, 26 W. Second St., Hazleton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in Most Precious Blood Church, Hazleton.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Drums.

Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
