Lonnie A. Davis

U.S. Veteran

Lonnie A. Davis, 49, of Adams, MA died on Thursday November 21, 2013 at North Adams Regional Hospital after a long illness. He was born in North Adams on November 25, 1963 a son of Thelma (Burdick) Gomez and the late Stuart Ray Davis. He graduated from McCann High School in 1982. He was a member of the North Adams National Guard and was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1986-1990. He was also a member of the North Adams Eagles. Lonnie was employed as a carpenter for several years and was last employed at Sweetwood in the Buildings and Grounds Dept. retiring in 2008 because of poor health. Lonnie enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with family and friends and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking and would generously give the items to family and friends. Survivors include his mother Thelma Gomez and her husband Juan. Lonnie leaves a son Bryan Davis of Virginia who is currently serving in the United States Navy, a daughter Rebecca Davis of Mississippi and a grandson Jastin LaBauve. He leaves four sisters, Janice of Belchertown, Lorie and her husband Edward of Florida, MA; Gloria and her husband Jerry and Carla and her husband Josh both of Monroe, MA.and several nieces and nephews and his former wife Lisa Bliss.

A memorial service to celebrate Lonnie’s life will be held Tuesday at 6:00P.M. at the Flynn & Dagnoli West Chapels 521 West Main Street, North Adams, MA. Calling Hours are from 4-6 P.M.
