Mrs. Micheala Antoinette Walden, 44, of Petersburg, Virginia was called to rest on Thursday morning, November 21, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 17, 1969 in Dinwiddie County to Lottie Roney Miles and the late James Miles. She was a graduate of the Dinwiddie County Senior High School in 1989. At an early age, she confessed Christ and joined the Rocky Mount Baptist Church, McKenney, but later in life she united with the Gravel Run Baptist Church. She was previously employed by the Central State Hospital and the Department of Corrections. Her dream was realized when she started Waldens Childcare. She was a member of the Dinwiddie/Petersburg Childcare, Inc. Micheala will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, god mother, dedicated child care provider, and friend.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, a devoted husband, Johnnie Roland Walden, III, two devoted children, Darius Miles and Earicka Walden, all of Petersburg; her loving mother, Lottie Miles and brother, James Miles, Jr., both of Dinwiddie; father in law, Johnnie Walden, Sr. (Michelle) of Midlothian; two sisters in law, Pamela Goodrich (Tyrone) , and Patricia Leonard, all of Petersburg; brother-in-law, Steven Walden; two godchildren, Caleb and Rien Baker of Petersburg; a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, to include, Sherry Myrick, Cheryl Bonner, Vonda Beasley, Daphne Minter, Christel Alexander, Margaret Mirjah, Tiffany Jackson, and the entire family of those enrolled in Waldens Childcare.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Gravel Run Baptist Church, with the pastor, Rev. Larry D. Brown, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow at the Dinwiddie Memorial Park. The family will assemble at the residence at 12 Noon on the day of the service for the procession. Public viewing will be held on Tuesday November 26, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. At the request of the family, please omit food items.
