Daniel Lee Fowler, 64, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his residence in Greenwood. He was born on September 28, 1949 in Mariemont, Ohio (Hamilton County) to Vearl and Mildred Louise (Wilder) Fowler of Sunman, Indiana. He married Cherry (Espenilla) Fowler on June 20, 1998. She lovingly survives in Greenwood. Other survivors include two daughters, Marachey Ranin Fowler and Mariell Ranin Fowler and one brother, Richard Fowler of Batesville, Indiana. He was preceded in passing by one daughter, Devon Lynn. Dan was a graduate of Green Hills High School near Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. Dan was employed in aviation and worked as an aircraft mechanic. He served the aviation community since 2006 as an Aviation Safety Inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He was just honored with an Honorary Charles Taylor award for his many years of service in the aviation industry. Friends may call on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
