Funeral service for Doyle Richmond, 92, Enid will be Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Richmond Chapel in Wappapello, Missouri with Rev. Donald Richmann officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmann Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, November 13, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Doyle was born on August 16, 1921 in Wappapello, Missouri to John Fish and Louise Richmann and died on Veteran’s day, November 11, 2013 in Enid.
He grew up in the Wappapello area and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. He received three Bronze stars. On March 23, 1950, Doyle married Irene Archer in Pocahontas, Arkansas and they made their home in Enid. He was a welder for several different companies. Doyle was a member of Westside Baptist Church, D.A.V., and The Garden Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene; two brothers, Leland and Leon; a sister, Wanda.
Doyle is survived by his two daughters, Janet Richmond of Oklahoma City and Diane Jack and husband, Michael of Buda, Texas; one granddaughter, Darcy Jack; other relatives and friends.
