Janis Ann (Ferguson) Cooper

Janis Ann (Ferguson) Cooper

Services for Janis Ann Cooper of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and formerly of Lompoc, will be at 3:45 p.m. Monday, November 18th at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor Duane Armstrong will officiate. Janis was born June 25, 1951 in Ft. Devins, Massachusetts. She is the daughter of Joseph and Betty Grisco.

Janis passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones. Janis moved to Lompoc with her family in 1960. She attended local schools. Janis lived in Monrovia, California before moving to Arkansas to be closer to family. She married Jim Cooper March 14,1994. Janis worked as a Medical Record Analyst. She enjoyed working at the hospital, breeding and caring for horses, fishing and volunteer work. Her greatest joy was time with family, and especially her three grandchildren. Our family thanks Dr. Lance Lincoln for his many year of care for Janis and her family. God bless every friend and loved one who cared and prayed for Janis during her illness, and very special Hospice nurse Vicki Nearn. Janis leaves behind parents, Betty and Joseph Grisco of Mountain Home, AR; daughter Pamela Ann (Nick) Farrar of Parkersburg, West Virginia; brother Robert (Cindy) Ferguson of Mountain Home, AR; sister Melissa DeBacker of Lompoc, CA; her grandchildren, Elijah, Ian and Hannah of Parkersburg, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews, Tanya (James) Mercado of Bull Shoals, AR, Bobby Ferguson of Monrovia, CA, Joseph Martin of Lompoc, CA, and Renee Wyatt of Mountain home, AR. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth (Tyke) Grisco; grandparents, Lillian and William Mooney and Donnie and Jim Ferguson. Husband Jim Cooper passed away shortly after Janis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Cancer Charity of choice.
