BURLINGTON, N.C. - Mrs. Margaret Page Bailey, 85, of 164 Oliver Lane, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at the Edgewood Place in Burlington.She was the daughter of the late Carlton W. and Ola Cobb Page.A native of Beaufort County, N.C., she was retired from Western Electric and was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Burlington. She was an avid genealogist and had a passion for quilt making with her sisters. She was known for her love and spending time with her family, which she enjoyed so much during the holidays and on special occasions.Survivors include her daughter, Pam Griffin and husband Rex, of the home; brothers, Russell Page and wife Faye of Burlington, Elton Page and wife Maria of Winston Salem, and Bobby Page and wife Ann of Burlington; sister-in-law, Patsy Johnson and husband Robert of Pittsboro; grandchildren, Adrienne Apple, Sarah Chipley and husband Patrick, Brennon Bailey, Caylin Bailey and Elise Bailey; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Cale, Jaiden, Damien and Gage; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donzia Young "D.Y." Bailey; son, Gregory Young Bailey; sisters, Grace and Winford; and brothers, Mose, C.W., Suttle and Floyd.A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Privette officiating. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham and at other times at the residence of the family.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building fund at St. Luke's UMC, 752 Greenwood Drive, Burlington, NC 27217. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Edgewood Place for their love and compassion during Mrs. Bailey's time there, as well as to her care giver, Lillian Flowers, for her love and time that meant so much to Margaret.
