Janet Theresa O'Donnell, 80 of Dwight, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning (November 6, 2013) at Walnut Grove Village in Morris.

Visitation will be held on Sunday (November 10, 2013) from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at Hager Memorial Home, Dwight with Rosary beginning at 3:45 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday ( November 11, 2013) at 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dwight with Father Chris Haake officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Odell.

Memorial's in Janet's name may be made to the donor's choice.

Janet was born October 5, 1933 in Odell to the late Walter and Hanora (Nolan) Cuttill. She attended St. Paul's Catholic grade school and high school in Odell. She married Raymond O'Donnell on November 22, 1952. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dwight.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Folkers of South Wilmington and three sons: John (Pat) O'Donnell, Reddick, Dan ( Marion Modesitt) O'Donnell , Seneca, and Leo O'Donnell , Phoenix, Az. Also surviving are her brother, Leo Cuttill, Pontiac , sisters in law: Genevieve O'Donnell, AZ., Joan O'Donnell, Streator, brother-in-law Chuck O'Donnell, Odell, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren as well as close friends Lois and Bill Stevenson and Cele Larson.

Preceding Janet in death are her husband, Ray O'Donnell in 1994; her parents, one brother, 4 sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.

Janet owned and operated O'Donnell's Café from 1965-69. She later managed the Reddick Bar and the kitchen at Continental Manor, retiring at the same time her husband did. She continued working part time in both IL. and AZ. until Ray's death then finished her career in 2012 as a waitress at the Route 66 Restaurant in Dwight where she loved visiting old friends and meeting new ones who were traveling the old Route 66 corridor.
