Brendan A. Braddock, 52, of Henderson, Kentucky, formerly of Sturgis, Kentucky, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, of ALS (better known as Lou Gehrig's).
Affectionately known as "UB" by his nieces and nephews, he had a kind, giving heart and was always willing to help others. Brendan had a passion for outdoors, landscaping, and yard work. He was happiest when mowing
Brendan was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Isabelle Braddock; and one infant brother, Leo Braddock.
Survivors include one son, Dylan Braddock of Henderson, Kentucky; one stepdaughter, Lexi Taylor of Henderson, Kentucky; his girlfriend, Cherri Steinwachs of Henderson, Kentucky; two brothers, Pat Braddock and his wife, Linda, of Nashville, Tennessee, and Vince Braddock and his wife, Pam, of Sturgis, Kentucky; two sisters, Sheila Braddock of LaGrange, Kentucky, and Theresa Chambliss and her husband, Jan, of Henderson Kentucky; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be at noon Friday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Father J. Edward Bradley and Father Larry McBride will officiate. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery in Henshaw, Kentucky.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and until 11 a.m. Friday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday by Father Larry McBride.
