Mr. Gerald L. Cline, age 87 of Franklin, died Saturday, November 2nd at the Franklin Simpson Nursing & Rehab Center in Franklin. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 11am with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Simpson County Honor Guard. A native of Allen County, he was the son of the late Clyde Burton Cline and Viola Garrett Cline. He was employed at Potter & Brumfield/Seimens for 26 years and delivered for Moore’s Drug Store. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and New Salem Masonic Lodge. Mr. Cline was a World War II Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife – Frances Clayborne Cline of Franklin; 2 sons – Jerry Cline and wife Jeanettte and Mark Cline and wife Lisa all of Franklin; 1 brother – Joe Cline of Washington, D.C.; 2 sisters – Mahalia Smith of Cadiz, KY and Mary Leslie McGee of Franklin; 3 grandsons – J.B. Cline, Garrett Cline and Darrick Cline; Great grandson – Gavin Cline. Visitation will begin at 3pm Monday and after 6am Tuesday at Crafton Funeral Home. Masonic Service will be held Monday at 7pm at Crafton Funeral Home.
