Vincent J. Corideo Jr., 69 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital.
Vincent was born in Waterbury on January 18, 1944, son of the late Vincent J. and Nancy (Aldorisio) Corideo, Sr. He attended Crosby High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served his country during the Vietnam era. He worked as a Fireman for the City of Waterbury for over twenty years. He enjoyed photography, cooking, riding his Harley, spending summers at the beach and spending time with his family and friends. Vincent especially valued the camaraderie of his brothers in the Waterbury Fire Department.
He leaves a son; Damion Corideo of Brooklyn, NY, a daughter; Desireé Gotlibowski and her husband John of Watertown, a brother; Richard Corideo of Waterbury, three grandchildren; Ryan, Joseph and Avery Gotlibowski, and former wife and best friend; Paula Corideo Galvin.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial with the cremains present will be held 10:00 a.m. on November 29, 2013 at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury has been entrusted with the arrangements.
