Kenneth Gene Fisher, 83, of Jones, Oklahoma passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 in Oklahoma City.
He was born on November 15, 1929 to John and Susanna (Little) Fisher in Bearden, Oklahoma.
Kenneth was raised in Tecumseh, Oklahoma and attended Tecumseh Public Schools. He has also lived in Oklahoma City and California.
Kenneth served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956 serving a year in Germany.
He worked as a truck driver for most of his life working in the oilfield for a short time during his career.
Kenneth loved football and was an avid OU Fan and sports fanatic. He loved his family, especially his children, grandchildren and his special friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, John and Susanna Fisher; siblings, Jack Fisher, Melford Fisher, Essie Fisher, Tommy Fisher, Billy Fisher and Jimmy Fisher; step-sons, Donald Eugene Miller, Jr., Howard Glenn Miller and Richard Lee Miller.
Those left to cherish his memory are his 2 sons, Kenneth Gene Fisher, Jr. and Robert Gene Fisher; 2 daughters and son-in-law, Valrye Kim Fisher-Gordon and Tamra Sue Fisher-Clark and husband, Donald; 4 grandchildren, Kendra Jean Sims, Kristi Lynn Fugate, Brandon Neil Siegfried and Brett Ryan Taylor; 7 great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Boston, Kennedy, Andrew, Kenneth, Hadleigh and Harley; beloved nieces, Shirley Phillips and Kathy Parsons; and many other loved nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends; and loving friend, Gean Fisher-Taylor; and step-daughter, Peggy Annettte Wyatt.
Visitation will begin 12:00 noon, Wednesday, October 16, 2013 and continue until time of service. Family will gather to meet with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Tecumseh Cemetery with Elder John H. Moyer officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
