Barbara Sue Bess Carter

Barbara Sue Love-Bess-Carter, 59 of Sherman, Texas, passed Away Wednesday, March 27, 2013. She was born in Dallas, Texas on April 25, 1953. She is survived by her husband Stephen Dallas Carter of Sherman, son Cory Bess and wife Keri, and their daughter Jubilee all of Denison, Texas; daughter Shena Bess of Sherman, Adoptive mother Eunice Hewitt of Colbert, father; James Arthur Love and his wife Virginia of Las Vegas, NV;, sisters; Anna Waddles of Denison, TX, Carylon and husband William of Colbert, OK, Mary Kathern of Tyler, TX, Brother; Dawayne Pollert of Dallas, Texas, James C. Smith of Oklahoma City, OK And many other relatives and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by biological mother; Susie Jackson Posie of Dallas, Texas, Brother McClare Andrew; Sister Glenda Castle Fagin of Houston, TX and Colbert Ok and Lisa Crawford of Dallas, Texas Grandmother Arelia Love of Colbert, Ok. Barbara spent her Childhood in Denison, TX and then moved to Colbert, Ok where she attended Colbert Elementary and Colbert High School. She played basketball in high school and always maintained a love the sport. She attended Grayson County College where she studied Nursing. She met and married Gary Bess and they had two children Cory and Shena Bess. Years later after her divorce from Gary, she moved back to the Texoma area and worked for TMC for awhile. She then began for 17 year professional career with Blue Cross and Blue Shield, which then became TrailBlazers. She retired from TrailBlazer in 2008. She was an active member of various Organization in Big Spring and Texoma area including the NAACP. Barbara met Stephen Dallas Carter in 2007 and they began a life together marrying in 2010. They bought a home in Sherman, TX and enjoyed life to the fullest Until God called her home.
