Doris Buril

Doris M. Buril, 76, went peacefully home on October 23, 2013. She was born May 22, 1937 in Labadie, Missouri. She was the seventh of ten children born to the late John and Clara (Bass) Clark. Her father worked for the railroad and her mother was a devoted housewife. The family moved to Washington, Missouri where she received her formal education, graduating from Washington High School in 1957.

After graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Samuel Buril. Samuel was serving in the United States Air Force. In 1963, they were stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas where they made their home and raised their children.

In 1968, the family was stationed at the Naval Air Station in Fallon, Nevada. While there, Doris attended and graduated from the Lahontan School of Nursing. In 1970 she entered into the Nevada State Nursing Essay Contest and won. She worked as an LVN for many years before retiring in the 1980’s.

Doris accepted Christ at an early age. She was a devoted member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she attended faithfully until her health began to decline which forced her to enter into a Care Facility where she spent her final days.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband; Samuel Buril, her parents; John and Clara Clark, and eight of her nine siblings.

Doris leaves to mourn her passing, her three children; Yolanda Generally, Avery Buril, both of San Antonio, Texas, Stephanie Buril of Austin, Texas, sister; Helen Barnes of St. Louis, Missouri, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
