Sgt. Travis Ronalle Williams

U.S. Veteran

On July 29, 1981, God decided He needed a special light, with a special gift that could help spread sunshine in the lives of many. He sent this ray of sunshine in the form of Travis Ronalle Williams. Like the tales of two cities, Travis was fortunate enough to have the love of two mothers and two fathers. Two mothers who only wanted to provide him with everything that life had to offer. At the age of five, he was baptized at St. James United Methodist Church, Ocean Springs, MS. He enjoyed traveling, playing sports and living life to its fullest. He traveled and lived across the United States and abroad. Each year he attended a different school. Family ties brought him to Gainesville, Florida where he graduated from High school. He was affectionately called “Trey”, and later while living in Germany “Trey Broskie”. He loved writing poetry. He turned life moments into poems. Travis entered the Army in 2002 and was immediately assigned to a unit in Germany (Schweinfurt). He loved working and living in Germany. While serving his country, he deployed to IRAQ (2 times), and Afghanistan. During his active tours of duty he received numerous awards and citations for dedication and bravery. To name a few of his accomplishments, he received the following awards and decorations: • Two IRAQ Campaign Metals • The joint Meritorious Service Metal • The National Defense Service Metal • Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Service Metal • Kosovo Campaign Metal with Bronze Service Star He was such an energetic, free-spirit, happy young man and full of life.
