John Robert Mazouch, age 71, of Dwight passed away peacefully early Sunday morning ( October 27, 2013) at Heritage Health, Dwight.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Hager Memorial Home on Monday (November 4, 2013) with Rev. Lance Leeds officiating.
John was born April 20, 1942 in Chicago to John and Christine Fako Mazouch. They preceded him in death. He had marriages to Suzanne Jesse Musch and June Granville Mazouch. John worked for the City of Chicago in the water distribution department from the age of 16. He also did custom carpentry as a side job.
He is survived by his daughters; Sandie (Terry) Hammar, Mokena, Dawn (J.C.) Place, Ames, OK., Debra (Bruce) Penrod, Kansas City, MO., Mary Martino, Frankfort, Noelle (Pasquale) Caputo, Mokena and sons; Ed (Barbara) Skala, New Lenox, and Ron Skala, Chicago. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Merrilea Place, Adam and T.J. Hammar, Edward, Joshua and David Skala, Isabella Martino and Lorenzo Caputo.
John was an avid fisherman. In his younger years he enjoyed training and riding horses and woodworking. He was a good man and all around nice guy.
