Mr. William P. Ibach, 87, of Shillington, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Berks Heim Home in Bern Twp.
He was the husband of Janet L. (Wolf) Ibach, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late William H. and Esther (Palm) Ibach.
Mr. Ibach was a longtime local Pharmacist. He was the President of Ibachs Pharmacy in Shillington for 40 years.
He was a graduate of the former Shillington High School and the Philadelphia School of Pharmacy and Science. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during W.W. II.
He was a past member of the Shillington Rotary Club and the Berks County Pharmaceutical Society. He served on the Shillington Planning Commission and the Civil Service Commission. He and his wife are members of Grace Lutheran Church in Shillington. Mr. Ibach will be remembered for his kindness and loyalty to family and friends.
He was the devoted father of three daughters; Dr. Carol Duffy, wife of Matthew Corrow of Barto; Judy Hummel of Myerstown; and Polly Diblasi of Shillington.
Also surviving are four Grandchildren, Tara, Dane, Bryce, and Brian, and Step Grandchildren, Katie and Andrea.
He was predeceased by a brother, Bruce E. Ibach.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with The Rev. Carl W. Filer, officiating.
Friends may visit to offer their condolences on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be private.
