June Holaday Linford, 76, of Novato, died Monday, September 23, 2013. She was born to the late David Duncan Holaday and the late Neal Stephenson Holaday, April 13, 1937, in Ottawa, KS. June graduated from UCLA in 1959 and received a BA in Costume Design. She married Byron Linford in 1959, in San Anselmo, CA. Although they lived in Los Angeles, San Anselmo, and Terra Linda, they ultimately settled in Novato, CA, in 1973. She was divorced in 1991. June was a mother and homemaker but was most passionate about making a difference in the lives of other people as a minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She spent many years as a pioneer in the ministry and continued her service until her death. She was able to make extended trips to Utah and Nevada as part of her ministry. She loved her cats over the years along with gardening, grandkids, and jazz. Three children and two daughters-in-law survive June: Bret and Katherine Linford of Santa Rosa; Mark and Poppy Linford of Cloverdale; and Suzanne Linford of San Francisco. She also is survived by four grandchildren: Matthias, Jillian, Celina, and Alec Linford. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that contributions be made out to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201-2483. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on October 12, 2013 at the San Rafael Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 50 Granlee Rd., San Rafael, CA 94903-2837.
