Thomas W. “Tom” Hoover, Sr. 71 of Nalcrest, Florida passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.
He was born October 16, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late William T. and Clara D. (Lough) Hoover and has been a resident of the area for 8 years moving here from Miami. He was a retired Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service. Thomas was a member of the VFW, enjoyed fishing, motorcycles and was a Miami Dolphins fan; was a veteran serving in the US Marine Corp. and was a member of New Harvest Worship Center.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Hoover; daughter, Marsha Rogers of Miami; son, Alan C. Hoover of Miami; 3 grandchildren, Sharayah Hoover, Alexandria V. Love, Brittney L. Hoover 2 daughter in laws, Annie Hoover of Alabama and Luevurne Love Hoover of Miami; son in law, James F. Rogers of Miami.
He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas W. Hoover, Jr. and brother, Edward Hoover.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
