Mikel Molter

U.S. Veteran

Mikel Molter was born to Al and Ariel Molter on January 26, 1945 in Hollywood, California. He passed from this life on September 18, 2013 at his home in Yreka.

Mike is survived by his wife of 43 years, Georgia; his daughter, Keira Molter, of Studio City; son David Molter, and his wife, Laura of Lake Shastina; son, Nicholas Molter and his uncle, Joe Hillock.

Mike was sole proprietor of Molter Electric, providing electrical services and contracting throughout Siskiyou County for more than 38 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served his community as an active member of Kiwanis for many years.

His greatest passion in this life was his family. He loved being with his wife and children. He loved to do anything that would enhance their lives, making sure that they were safe and felt cared for. He built their home on Juniper Dr. from the ground up.

Mike had a lifelong love of all things mechanical. His favorite places were the garage, under the hood of a car or on the race track. He shared his expertise and experiences with friends and family. In his lifetime he built racing boats, race cars, rebuilt cars and trucks and helped many a friend with their machinery.

He is adored by his extended family, the many friends from business and the community.

A celebration of his life is planned for Tuesday September 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Girdner Funeral Chapel, Yreka.
