Judy A. DeAngelo, 73, of Hazleton passed away Friday in the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Bobby) Ragan. Judy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed. She took great joy in and devoted her life to taking care of her family, and had many friends who loved her. She was deeply committed to her Catholic faith and was a member of Most Precious Blood Church.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her brother, John Ragan Jr.
Surviving are her husband, Neal P. DeAngelo; children, Neal A. DeAngelo and significant other, Michele Tyson, Lake Harmony; Cindi Denning and husband, Dr. Bill Denning, San Antonio, Texas; and Paul DeAngelo and wife, Lisa, Hazleton; brothers, Nicky Ragan and wife, Paula; and Tommy Ragan and wife, Connie, all of Hazleton; grandchildren, Neal DeAngelo III, Ryan Denning, Jarrod DeAngelo, Tiffany Coomer, Kyle Denning, Stacey Denning and Paul DeAngelo Jr.; eight great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and many close personal friends also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Most Precious Blood Church. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. There will not be a public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
