Annelle Coffman, age 81, much-loved mother, grandmother, wife and friend, passed away at home with her family on Thursday morning, September 12,2013, in Callao, MO. She was born on February 22, 1932, in Laurel, Mississippi, the daughter of Lozie and Buford McLain. In 1950 she married Marlin Coffman in New Orleans, and later moved to rural Macon County, where she resided at the family farm until her death. She is survived by her husband Marlin, and by her seven children and nine grandchildren; Terri Coffman, Cody Coffman, Tanna Klein, Tina and Daniel McCarthy and daughter Jasmine; Casey Coffman and sons Clay, Logan and Chase; Tessa and Michael Buckley and children Thomas, Grace and John; Carson and Jen Coffman and children Maxwell and Audrey. She is also survived by her sister, Allene Coffman of Cuba, AL, brother, Hiram McLain and wife Bonnie of Callao, Sister in law Phyllis McLain of Atlanta, MO, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was proceeded in death by her mother and father as well as her sister Betty Jean Coffman and brother’s Venoit and Clifford McLain. Annelle was the longtime owner of Haven House Antiques in Callao. She loved antiques, flow blue china, quilts, books, flowers and her bible. She was active in the family farm business and was an avid market investor. She attended Macon Church of God (Holiness). The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses of Hospice Compassus for their excellent care during our mother's time of need, and for the kind support of neighbors, friends and family. Funeral Services will be Monday, September 16, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Church of God (Holiness) in Macon, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, September 15, 2013, from 5 to 7 pm at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO. Burial will be in the Old Chariton Cemetery north of Callao.
