Buddy Deering Andrews

U.S. Veteran

Buddy Deering Andrews, "PaPa" passed away on September 8, 2013. He was born November 9, 1930 in Ozark, AL to the late Benjamin Ray and Winnie Andrews. Buddy servied his country in the U.S. Army from July 1949 to June 1952 and fought in the Korean War. He was a communications and tank operator. He greatest legacy was the love he had for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren he will forever hold a dear and precious place in each of their hearts. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patsy Andrews Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Doris Harrison Andrews, of Florala, AL, daughters, DeeJeania Jackson and husband Emmett of Mobile, AL and Lesley Kay Gibson of Florala, AL, grandsons, Andrew Douglas Lynch and John Lynch of Mobile, AL and Thomas Christopher Gibson of Florala, AL, granddaughters, Alexandra Nicole Sullivan and husband Devin of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Savannah Marie Gibson of Elba, AL and Sierra Nicholle Gibson of Florala, AL, great grandson, Edward William Lynch, great granddaughters, Allison Atkins of Elba, AL and Keileigh Lohner of Fort Walton Beach, FL, brothers, Homer Andrews, Terriel Andrews and wife Mary Ellen and Billy Andrews and wife Jewel of Ozark, Al, sisters, Jeanette Strickland and husband Lawrence of Ozark, Al and Sue Stuckey and husband Bob of Andalusia, AL.

Funeral services for Buddy Andrews will be 3PM Wednesday September 11, 2013 from Evans Funeral Home with James Pickron and Emmett Jackson officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will follow with full military honors at Smyrna Cemetery.
