Richard John Geujen, age 66, of Milan, MO., passed away Friday, September 6, 2013, at his lake home near Warsaw, MO. He was born on February 12, 1947, in St. Louis, MO., the son of William H. and Edith E. Voss Geujen.

He grew up in St. Louis and graduated high school. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam from 1966-1974 as a jet engine mechanic.

Following his honorable discharge, as the rank of Sergeant, he returned to St. Louis where he worked construction. Later he owned and operated his own construction company in Grain Valley/Lee’s Summit area. In 1998, he moved to Pattonsburg, MO, where he worked in real estate and in 1999, he moved to Trenton, MO where he owned and operated Country Real Estate and The Gables Restaurant.

In 2008, he retired as a broker and spent his time between his lake home in Warsaw and farm in Milan, MO. Richard spent 9 months of the year at his lake home where he was an avid fisherman. Being at the lake is what he loved most in life. He also loved to hunt. Richard and Laura enjoyed cooking and loved entertaining their lake friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard is survived by his loving companion, Laura Webb, of the home, and his family and many friends and neighbors who will sadly miss his presence.

Military Rites and Interment will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at 2:30 P.M. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
