Roy Ezell age 80, of Florala passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at his residence. Roy began his career with Arrowhead Lumber Company and later went to work for Louisana Pacfic in Lockhart where he retired as plant manager. In his spare time Roy enjoyed gardening, raising cattle, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Even when he was doing something that he enjoyed he still wanted to be the best. From his prize winning cattle to competing with his wife JoAnn for the biggest bass, he always strived for excellence. Those who knew Roy well will remember his sence of humor, wonderful smile, and no nonsense attitude. He was also a member of the Florala Lions Club, Florala Rotary Club and the Alabama Cattlemen's Association.
