Diane J. Boley, age 56, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in her Mellen, Wisconsin home, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
Diane was born on May 27, 1957, in Ashland, Wisconsin, the daughter of Archie F. and Verna (Stuhrmann) Eineichner. She graduated from Glidden High School in 1975 and was united in marriage to John P. Boley, on July 9, 1977, in Mellen.
She was a homemaker and, for a number of years, the manager of the Mellen Golf Course, a job she took great pride in and enjoyed. She was an avid reader. Her many other hobbies included: crocheting, knitting, bowling, golfing and fishing. Her greatest past time was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
Survivors include: her husband of 36 years, John, of Mellen; her daughter, Jenny, of Mellen; her sons: Jamie (Krista), of Mellen; and Teddy, of Racine, Wisconsin; three grandchildren: Brady, Isabelle and Evan; her mother, Verna of Mellen; her sisters: Sharon and Bev (Rick), all of Mellen; many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Archie; and one sister, Sandra.
A visitation, for family and friends, will be held at the Congregational United Church of Christ, in Mellen, beginning at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2013, and continuing until the time of service.
A Funeral Service for Diane will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at the Congregational United Church of Christ, in Mellen. Reverend James Imse will officiate. Her casket bearers will include: Rick Schmitt, Mark Schmitt, Rick Schuelke, Walt Kozup, Steve Boley, Chuck Gilgen, and Dale Peterson.
Interment, in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Glidden, Wisconsin, will immediately follow the service at the Church.
