DALLAS, TX – Deborah Helen Steenrod, 58, of Dallas, TX, formerly of Peoria, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
Deborah was born on July 19, 1955, in Peoria, to Richard L. “Dick” and Margaret “Maggie” (McClugage) Steenrod.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, Dick Steenrod.
She is survived by her mother, Maggie of East Peoria; her brothers, Rick (Debbie) of Washington, IL, and Mark (Debbie) of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. She is also survived by her nieces, Nikki Steenrod of Metamora, Courtney (Eric), Hansen of Washington, IL, and Nikki Buckley of Malibu, CA; and her nephew, Wes (Vanja) Buckley of Placentia, CA.
Deborah received a BS degree from the University of Illinois and an MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Dallas.
She resided in Dallas for the past 30 years. She worked as human resources manager at Tuesday Morning, Inc, Associated Computer Services, and Sears Roebeck Co. She also worked as a consultant to Imprimis Group.
A funeral Mass with cremated remains present will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Father James Pallardy will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of cremains will be in Parkview Cemetery. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
