John S. Childers, 49, of Campbell, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Mr. Childers, son of Kenneth N. Childers and Edith Barnes Childers Lyons, was born on December 1, 1963 in Fullerton, California.
He was a factory worker.
His survivors include his mother, Edith Lyons of Campbell; two brothers, Bob Childers and wife, Peggy of Sikeston, Michael (Mike) Childers and wife, Melynda of Evans, CO; nephews, Danny Childers and wife, Barbara of Sikeston, Jayson Childers, Bryce Childers and Eryc Childers all of Evans, CO; great nephews, Gavin Childers, Dylan Childers, Nicholas Childers all of Sikeston; uncles Wayne Barnes and wife, Mert and Wade Barnes and wife, Shirley all of Campbell; aunt Mary Ruth Shrum and husband, Bill of Senath; and numerous cousins
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth N. Childers; step father, Ray Lyons; one brother, Kenneth Wayne Childers; maternal grandparents, Henry and Arkie Barnes; fraternal grandparents, Lum and Gene Childers; cousin, Scott Barnes; and aunt, Sis Barnes.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Landess Funeral Chapel with Reverend Randy Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
