Thomas E. Perkins, 66, of Manchester, NH, died August 19, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester, NH on February 27, 1947, he was the son of Joseph L. and Pearl (Croteau) Perkins.
He was a lifelong resident of the Queen City and attended local schools.
During the VietnamWar, he served with the United States Army.
Until his retirement, he worked at Tire Service Center Inc. for thirty years.
He was an active volunteer at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for many years. He held membership in the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Family members include his wife of forty years, Donna (Roberge) Perkins of Manchester; three daughters, Joanne Cormier and her husband, Troy, Barbara Perkins and Jennifer Perkins all of Manchester; seven grandchildren, two great- grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur Perkins of Bedford, Donald Perkins and his wife, Karen, of Dunbarton, and Kenneth Perkins and his wife, Betty, of Dunbarton; three sisters, Beverly Taylor and her husband, Ronald of Merrimack, Nancy Rousseau and her husband, Andre, of Canada, and Linda Moreau and her husband Noel, of Dunbarton; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Miller, and two brothers, Joseph Perkins and Robert Perkins.
Service: Following cremation, calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester, NH.
A committal service with military honors and urn burial will take place Friday at 1PM in New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
