Sheila Culver, 61, of Corry, Pa., died on Wednesday, August 14, 2013. She was born in Corry, Pa., on February 1, 1952, a daughter of Elaine Pangborn Benton Padilla, of Chiefland, Fla., and the late Roy Benton. Sheila will be remembered and loved by her husband, Craig H. Culver, whom she married on April 7, 1973 in Corry, Pa.; two children, a daughter, Sara Culver and her partner Suz Provencio of Santa Ana, Calif.; a son, Garrett Culver of Corry, Pa.; family friend Scott Eberle; siblings, Tom Benton and his wife Kathy, Ron Benton, Tim Benton and Yvonne Benton; nephews Matt, Greg and Mark Benton; niece, Dana Benton; her mother, Elaine Padilla and stepfather, Bill Padilla. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed walking with her friends. A woman of faith, she saw God, angels and miracles all around her. Sheila graduated from Corry High School in 1970 and received an associate degree in journalism from Penn State University, Shenango Valley Campus. Through the years, she worked for the Sharon Herald, Titusville Herald, Grove City Allied News, The Corry Journal and WOTR radio station. Most recently, she worked at the Corry Higher Education Council as an evening receptionist. She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Corry and also PFLAG, Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. Friends may call at the Corry Higher Education Council, in the Bracken Room, 221 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Saturday, from 10 am until the time of the memorial service there at 11 am. Rev.
