GloAnne Roquemore, age 75, of Clam Lake, Wisconsin, died Monday, January 12, 2009, at Saint Mary’s Medical Center, in Duluth, Minnesota.
GloAnne was born, on December 11, 1933, in Macon, Georgia, the daughter of Howard and Ruby (Grooms) Byrd.
For 20 years, she worked at the Sub-base Credit Union, in Groton, Connecticut. GloAnne came to Clam Lake seventeen years ago. She attended the Congregational United Church of Christ, in Mellen, Wisconsin.
GloAnne is survived by: her son, Randy, of Clam Lake; her daughter, Piper (Dave) Barach, of Canterbury, Connecticut and three grandchildren, Lars’, Danielle and Amanda. She is also survived by: two sisters: Carolyn Avery and Linda Davis; two brothers: Jerry Byrd and Terry Byrd, all of Macon, Georgia, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents and her beloved husband, Kenneth 'Rocky' Roquemore.
A memorial service, to celebrate her life, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 13, 2009, at the Clam Lake Community Center, in Clam Lake. Father Edward J. Hussli will be the Celebrant.
The interment, in the Clam Lake Cemetery, in Clam Lake, will be private.
