Don Buckman, Henderson, died 10:28 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center.
He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church. He was retired from Dempewolf Ford where he was a service advisor.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Alma “Jean” Buckman, who died July 31, 2012; and his parents, Leslie Gordon and Dorothy Smith Buckman.
Survivors include one daughter, Tammy Sagez and her husband, Estil, of Henderson; one son, Lee Buckman and his wife, Carol, of Henderson; three sisters, Janice Dixon and her husband, Donald, of Corydon, and Phyllis Murphy and Judy Walton and her husband, Charlie, all of Florida; one brother, Larry Buckman of Corydon; eight grandchildren, Brandon Buckman, Kevin Chandler, Emily Walker and her husband, Ian, Sara Sagez-Barnett and her husband, John, Derek Sagez, Daniel Sagez and his wife, Whitney, Valerie Kenney and her husband, Wayne, and Rachel King and her husband, Leland; eight great-grandchildren, Arli Sagez, Elly Sagez, Nolan Barnett, Declan Barnett, Ethan Barnett, Aden Walker, William King, and Isabella Kenney; nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to the memorial service at 10 a.m. Thursday at Fairmont Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. The Reverend Donnie Risley will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
