After graduating from Seymour High School, Len went on to Bolby Business School for two years. In his early years, he did factory work at the Nichols Milk Plant and with the Outagamie Farm Producers. Throughout the years, he was very active with the Shriners, the Masonic Blue Lodge, and the Scottish Rite Masonry. Len volunteered in Nichols as a School Board Clerk and as a Firefighter with the Fire Department. He is a former member of the Congregational Church in Nichols. In 1994 the couple settled in Clintonville. He is also a lifelong member of the American Legion and VFW Post. Len enjoyed the outdoors, especially for hunting and fishing. He was a handyman who liked woodworking and building things with his hands. Golfing in both Seymour and Clintonville was Len's other favorite pastime.

Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Mary, and two grandsons, Rick (Robin) Scruton of Boise, Idaho, and Jeff (special friend Roberta) Scruton of Berlin. There are 5 great grandchildren; Mikayla, Julia, Jacob, Jeff Jr. (friend Casey), and Luke (friend Angela). There are 3 great-great grandchildren, Kyle, John & Jace. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Len is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard, and a sister, Margaret (Cedric) Kuhn.

The family wishes to thank all the nurses and staff at KindredHearts and Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care given to Len. Thank you also to a good friend, Duane Killips, for always being there when needed.
