Glen Foster

FOSTER, Brother Glen Edward:- Funeral service for Brother Glen Edward Foster who was called home on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, will be held on Saturday August 4th 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Bethel M. B. Church with the Pastor Rev. Oscar Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories/Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

Glen Foster was a well-known musician (drummer) who touched many lives. At an early age Glen began playing drums for Triumphant the Church of Kingdom of God in Christ. He then became a community drummer, which led him to play for several gospel artists. He loved God, his family and gospel music. Glen will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his father Earnest Foster Sr. He leaves to cherish memories with a devoted wife of 27 years, Hope Foster; 3 sons, Glen Foster Jr., Michael Foster and Austin Foster; 1 devoted daughter, Glenisha Foster; granddaughter, Kyra Foster- Hernandez; a devoted mother, Betty Williams (John); (4) brothers, Earnest Foster Jr., Elder Stanley Foster, Devonne Foster (Vondrita) and Arthur Godwin (Darlene); 2 sisters, Trina Foster, Yvette Foster-Johnson (Michael); a devoted mother-in-law, Velma Carter; 3, brothers-in-law, Robert Jr., Fred, David Carter; sisters-in-law, Vinetta Thomas (Mario), Cecilia Carter, and Joy Holliman (Eric); a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends including special friends' Peter Knight, Vincent Simmons, Darious Bryant, and Louis Brown.

A native of Tampa, Florida Mr. Foster was a Dock Supervisor for the Peninsular Paper Company. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was honorably discharge from the Army. Mr. Foster was a faithful member of Greater Bethel M. B. Church where he was the drummer for over 20 years.

His remains will be viewed on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida.
